We Are Joburg

We Are Joburg was an alluring exhibition depicting the emergence of a new, cool, urban style created by Johannesburg’s designers. It formed part of 100% Design South Africa 2017, aiding the trade show in its goal to promote and grow the local design industry. Through specially created products, participants presented their take on the spirit of their city, encouraging a discourse around its Afro-urban aesthetic. The exhibition included the work of 10 emerging Joburg designer and gained great media reach beyond the show, further spreading an awareness about these creative brands.
