Design Network Africa

The five-year Design Network Africa programme, funded by the Danish government and run by The Guild Group, promoted and supported the foremost furniture designers, textile artists and ceramicists on the continent, giving them international reach while encouraging business growth. Platform’s creative director Cathy O’Clery acted as a programme mentor and developed dynamic visual campaigns for individual designers in Mali, Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe and South Africa, styling extraordinary photographs that illustrated their studios, surroundings and handcrafted processes, offering viewers a peek into these inspiring environments. The images were published in some of the world’s most prestigious newspapers and magazines, including ELLE Decoration and The Guardian.
